I ahve encountered what I think to be a major prob on my 1994 9000 CSE!!! Was in a major traffic jam the other evening. Sitting at a red light, car was in neutral. When the light changed, I depressed the clutch but could not move the gear shift lever into any gear!!! I could move the gear shift lever from side to side, however. Finally, I forced it into second and was able to move it into first. Once I got going, second made a grinding noise a few times but by the time I reached my safe home, the gears seemed to be running smoothly when I shifted. In fact, smoother than they had been in recent weeks. Haven't driven it since. So I am dumbfounded. Just looking for any insight anyone might have. Really appreciate it!
