Hm, My '90 900i, 270000 km has something like that as well. With a cold engine, it will run rough and stall if I don't step on the accelerator. This may happen when the weather is either very hot, very wet or very cold (so yes, most of the time). Stepping on the accelerator will keep the engine alive but there is quite a delay before it finally picks up. After a minute or so, all is fine. The mechanics have looked it over quite a lot, never found a solution but to increase the idle RPM. Jan (even though this is an irritating problem, never been so pleased with a car) Andrew Cameron <actechnopsamenet.com.au> wrote in message news:7pblrc$j8i$1nopsamlla.OntheNet.com.au... > I am having a similar problem with my 89 900 GLE 16v, 200,097kms. > sometimes its like yours, others it cuts out while driving along, sometimes > it won't start from cold or hot ! > > mechanic is being driven nuts... > changing the fuel pump relay this week as it definitely wasn't getting fuel > the other morning. > fuel pump is putting out the required fuel and flow. > > mechanic has had the entire engine electric's apart, checked the voltages, > resistance etc of everything nd its al l fine. he said he is getting more of > these strange problem with old fuel injected cars day by day. > > running it on premium unleaded has helped a bit, definitely smoother, more > power, easier starting. > > who knows :) > > captmarvil <captmarvilnopsamcom> wrote in message > <snip>I have a '94 Saab 900s with > > 100,000 miles.
