I'm not going to keep the head unit as I'm replacing it for some proper Pioneer DEH 9000 R (It's GREAT!!!) By the way, maybe you can eliminate the noise by using just one ground connection (preferably the minus pole directly at the batterie) instead of several. Keep in mind to use the same diameter for both plus and minus, for a system with multiple amps at least 20mm˛. In my old car I had some very 'spacey' noises that sounded like an turbo charged UFO - but a technical guy told me that my alternator is not functioning properly BUT it would be very cheap to fix. Don't ask for details as I have to admit that I liked the noise very much and kept it that way ;-)
