Such crap! Written by someone who knows nothing about engineering cars... The 9-5 platform is based on the Vectra's (which was co-designed by Saab and Opel anyway). However, the 9-5's version is so heavily modified (longer, wider, longer wheelbase, wider track) the two have no recognizable similarities side-by-side. Evidently, consumers agree. Saab sales are up nearly 50% in 1999...
