We took the car into the dealer and he hadn't heard of any complaints regarding problems with the seats; however, after calling SAAB he found out they do recognize there is a problem and have redesigned the switch, but have not issued any type of technical service bulletin about the problems with the old switch. They ordered the new switch and are replacing it next week. Thanks for everyone's help, koerp >I recently bought the 9-3 convertible and so far we love it.
