Subject: Transmission oil - 10/40 or EP80?



I have a pretty used manual 5 speed tranny on a 900T ('85). In the UK nobody
speaks of the famous Redline MTL. They mostly say 'use good quality 10/40'.
Does this mean, e.g. Castrol GTX Magnatex? Or should I use Castrol EP80 gear
oil? Am I right to use slightly heavier mineral oil in  a well used tranny
(EP80 rather than 75)?
