Subject: If you're doing a 900T clutch...

....here're a couple hints for getting it done. I found two areas to be a bitch. Getting out the clutch shaft bearing is a dog. I ended up using a K-D brake adjusting tool because of it's strength and angled end. I forced the straight end into the bearing behind the metal ring, and with the angled end facing me. Then I applied downward pressure to keep the thing in place while banging on top of the angled part with a hammer. Eventually the bearing popped out and luckily there was minimal damage to the housing. The other thing was getting the whole assembly back in. Because of the turbo oil pipe ('87 turbo) clearance was minimal at best. All the instructions would have you sandwich together the pressure plate, disk, slave cylinder and bearing and supposedly just drop the whole thing in place. Hah, good luck! I found (after creating many new cursing combinations) that if I worked the pressure plate/disk in from the left and the rest of it at the same time from the right I was finally able to exit the garage without an overwhelming desire to kick something! I don't happen to have a bearing press so in order to depress the pressure plate enough to put in a spacer I used a small jack, a piece of cast iron pipe fitting and the frame of my Bronco for resistance. Worked wonderfully. So, if I've saved just one guy from wanting to murder someone trying to replace one of these clutches, then this little ditty was worth it! By the way, I got the parts discounted from sobstory.com. They were OEM too .
