Yes that is the oil pressure sensor. It should screw directly into the oil filter housing. The oil supply lines should not (and do not have to) be removed to replace the sensor. I replaced this myself on my 1983 900T. My 1992 receipt shows $12.74 for a Oil Pressure Switch, part number 9112459. The same receipt shows a Adapter, part number 7564248 for $3.87, and might have been needed to put a new model sensor on an older car. I can't remember for sure. Foreign Auto Parts, Brattleboro VT, used to carry the Bentley and Haynes manuals and still might: 1 800 544 4600. Good Luck!
