David, I suggest cleaning the A/C air filter. Open your hood, remove the plastic dust cover against the firewall There is a fresh air flap (that opens when you are not recirculating) on the passenger side. The filter is under it. It slips out pretty easy and is washable. It is kinda fragile so be careful. Soap and water will get that stale smell out. It is a good idea to check your cruse control hoses ( right there in the same area) while you are doing it.
