This discussion has been done quite a few times allready. You have definite pro GM's and contra's. Here is my humble opinion : * Saab would have been broke if GM didn't save them * launching of a Diesel and V6 (don't get me wrong I don't like them but they have proven their commercial value) * Saab loosing it's personality is something I don't agree on : look at the nose of the 9-5 that is 100 % Saab * Saab did need a professional base to work on, and quality has improved (by the way, quality has improved on every european car for that matter) As long as Saab can go on as they are going on know (e.g. that ignition key) they are remaining genuine Saabs. Don't give the argument of : oh, but it is the floor of a vectra, well the 9000 was designed together with Lancia, ... A lot of car brands do use the same materials.
