Subject: Hard falling RPM (almost stalls)

I've got an '86 Saab 9000T that seems to be giving me some idling problems. Whenever I drop the RPM's down...by just letting off the gas...in nuetral, the RPM's will fall well below 1000 sometimes even killing the car. I tried to "lightly" release the pedal to compensate for the problem, but it's getting really frustrating. It seems to be better when I have the AC on...even though it doesn't work (bad compressor). Other than that...idling is pretty smooth. Is there a setting or solenoid I can change to take care of the "low idle setting"? Thanks for your help funkadelic Please reply to the group.
