In article <7qu52g$jbs$1nopsamprod.itd.earthlink.net>, Norman L. Kleinberg <nlkleinbergnopsamhlink.net> writes >Hi Group: > >Am in the market to replace my old Maxima and was surprised to find myself >inside a SAAB dealership; to be honest, a car I didn't think I'd be >interested in turned out to be quite well thought out. IAC, dealer told me >SAAB withdrew the V-6 engine because of vibration problems, yet I still see >it offered on the SAAB website. > >Would anyone be kind enough to verify this info for me? TIA. > What country are you posting from? In the UK, the V6 was withdrawn from April 99 until the start of the 2000 MY, but this was due to high demand in the US leading to a shortage of engines. V6s are now available again here. However, many Saab aficionados consider the V6 to be an inferior engine to the 2.3t, and feel that the 9-5 Aero will be a nicer car. -- Regards Leroy Curtis Please replace "nospam" with "baram" in my address if you wish to reply by Email
