Ben, Gotta confess total ignorance about the 2.3 that's in the NG 900 - don't know if it's the same or not! My knowledge is mostly of the older cars - 1989 and before. One other thing to be aware of is that the 2.3's apparently have a couple of troublesome areas. I've heard of a lot of head-gasket failures, and also failures of the "DI cassette" (the ignition-coil assembly that goes over the sparkplugs). Don't know whether these issues were resolved in later motors...
