Subject: Re: 9000 shift knob removal?

In article <7s5jal$jjg$1nopsam1.deja.com>, csqrnopsameja.com says... > I just got a wood shift knob for my 96' 9000 > Does anybody know how to remove the original one? You hacksaw it off. I'm not kidding. The wood knob upgrade glues on with epoxy. It's the worst thing I've ever seen... I got the knob and then just kept it for a while as I pondered if I had the balls to use a hacksaw on the interior of my Saab, and I did not. I took it down to Saab and let them bang me for some money to get my old one off and epoxy the new one on. I drove out 45 minutes later a little lighter in the wallet and happy knowing it was on straight and properly. Enjoy.
