Subject: Just FYI for those who care...

Sebastian, my 96 900SET is in the shop today. In total up to this moment the following items have been fixed; Overdue 65000 mile service (80K miles... I know...) Motor mounts replaced (both) New tires New brake pads and rotors resurfaced Upper strut plate bearing on front-left (apparently original was stripped out by a minor fender bender that occurred in December last year and has deteriorated since). Total cost about $2100 at estimate. Owie. The moral of the last one is; never assume fender-bender damage is skin-deep. I did, had the body panel fixed... but the plate is apparently the worse for wear. It contributed about $250-$300 to my final repair cost. I'm currently driving a rental Oldsmobile Alero (paid for by the dealership)... a pretty fine little car... but it ain't my 900!!!! Sebastian! Come back!!!! Will be back tomorrow... hopefully :) -- Gavin Haslett thumper_svxnopsamo.com http://home.earthlink.net/~hackrat "Ahhhh... Mountain Dew... nectar of the geeks!"
