Actually, a relatively easy job. I used a piece of a small fan belt in place of the brake line cited below. Also, rebuild the master and slave cylinders while you're at it, replace the release bearing and spigot bearing (center of flywheel), and have the flywheel resurfaced at a machine shop (after you remove the spigot bearing but before putting in the new one). Finally, pressure-bleeding the system is the ONLY way to get the air out of it. ----------------- John Weiss Seattle, WA remove *nospam* from e-mail address for reply <malcolm532nopsameja.com> wrote in message news:7tchkn$kc9$1nopsam1.deja.com... > In article <37F98648.E51CA98Cnopsammaker.com>, > trevor davis <vcdavisnopsammaker.com> wrote: > > is replacing a clutch in a 84 900 S a job for the home mechanic or is it > > best left to the pros? > You can do it yourself, just follow the instructions in the Haynes > manual, they are pretty good,You just need a torque wrench and a bit of > patience.
