Hi I drive a 96 900SE, still under warranty, and properly serviced. Yesterday I had it in the shop because I noticed vibration while braking at highway speeds. I was informed that it was caused by warped front rotors, which they told me were about $300USD to replace. The car has 43K miles on it. I asked if this wasn't covered by warranty, and was told (and shown in an official Saab book) that this was considered by Saab a 'wear' item and therefore not covered. The service manager, when I probed, admitted that he didn't see rotor failure this early usually. He also saw no extreme wear on the breaks, nor any evidence of overheating. I'd be interested in your opinions on this, as well as what my options might be. Thanks. Craig
