Maybe a tire upgrade is in order? Going from the stock V-rated tires to my current Z-rated tires on my 96 900SE made one hell of a difference to quick direction changes... like chicanes. I do agree that the weight distribution is high above the road in this vehicle... but that's because it has a tall body and relatively small track... but really I've never had much of a problem doing some strange maneuvers in my Saab... and it just got better when I replaced my tires. Also, if you're a real performance freak then new suspension components might help a lot. Just my 2c worth.
