There are two, the main pump and the feeder pump. My guess is if it went bad because you let it run out of gas or ran the tank too low too often, it's probably the feeder pump. Good thing for you because that one is cheaper, about $85. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace both just so you won't have any trouble later on again.
