Worse.  In my opinion (and many others) Saabs were never designed to be 
automatics and a lot of trouble can occur if you choose to have one 
anyway.  Turbo is a plus because in my opinion as well, that's how the 
engine was originally designed to be, so it runs well if you have one.

My 1988 9000S transmission was a nightmare when it went out, and VERY 
expensive to fix.

But it was a great excuse to buy a new Saab!
