If you've been using non-synthetic 20W-50 for the last 150,000 miles, then go ahead and keep using it. If I encourage you to go to synthetic, and the engine falls apart, you'd be mad at me<g>. I've changed a lot of cars to synthetic with well over 100K on them, no problems. But I wouldn't recommend 20W-50 unless the manufacturer recommended it--ad not many do these days. Dick
