You either need the special tool from saab (about $15) or you can fashion a coat hangar to do the same, but it doesn't work quite as well. You cut and bend the hangar into a "U" shape (make 2) and insert them into the holes on the sides. This presses down on some detent, and then you should be able to pull it out.
