I bought an '86 9000i with 120,000m on the clock, fSsh to 70,000 then regularly serviced since then. I paid £700 just over a year ago (asking price was £800). Clutch was a bit dodgy when I bought it, and this failed shortly afterwards. Master cylinder had blown, which i subsequently found out it had before. 9000s are (apparently) prone to this. Check yours out. With the engine running, rest your foot on the clutch and check if it sinks slowly to the floor (losing pressure). If it does, either the master or slave is gone. No problems with the car since then, other than an intermittent speedo (needs a new transducer). Engine is sweet. The most comfortable car I've driven, with hard wearing interiors. This was the first Saab I'd driven and it won't be the last!! On the look out for a 9000CSE now, '93 or '94. Anyone selling one in the Milton Keynes area? Hope your convinced. Ken
