(this message never showed up on my news server...sorry if it's a double post) Speaking of whistling Saabs, why is it that even the non-turbo engines make a whistling/whirring sound when you accelerate? What is going on in the engine to make that noise. I've never heard a non-Saab engine make the same noise. I used to hear Saabs accelerating next to me making that sound, and assumed they were turbos. But my '84 900 S also makes that noise, it sounds like a turbo. Hey, it's not all wishful thinking!
