Hi Werner,

My father asked the same question about his former 1984 900GLi. He was replied
that SAAB engines are compliant with unleaded fuel since model year 1985 (he
was no lucky with his 1984!).

The 9000 model came out in 1986 and is then compliant with unleaded fuel, even
if it has no catalytic converter.
