Subject: can a 1986 saab 9000 CD run on unleaded fuel ?



My father in law has a Saab 9000 CD 2.0 litre 16 valve non-turbo.  I don't
know the model year, but the car is at least 10 years old.  I was wondering
if this car can run on unleaded fuel; in his garage they told him to use
leaded fuel.  The car has no catalyst.  Any comments greatly appreciated!
