There's a little ball and socket mechanism that may have fallen out, right behind where the lock cylinder sits. Watch out, lots of little pieces (well, a couple of "C" rings and stuff) to lose when you take it apart. Just take careful notes about how everything fits together, or you'll spend a lot of time bumping your head against the boot lid trying to puzzle it out (routing of the main rod mechanism had me going for awhile there, since I didn't take notes). -- Ken Bell :: kenbellnopsamx.com :: (212) 475-4976 (voice)
