I bought three SAABs from Dietmar Burkhardt at B&B over the years, and they are a fine bunch of folks with a lot of integrity. They always let me test drive alone, and yes, I probably left my license for them so they could find me if I skipped. I remember the first time I bought a car from them (a new 79 Turbo), he said to take it for a few hours to give it a good evaluation! Try that at the Chevy dealer; they put a commissioned idiot in the car with you to tell you what you are finding out. Were I the dealer, I would use the license info to send you info and promo correspondence in the future, as well as have some comfort that you would return from your test drive. I agree that there are not enough SAAB dealers for convenience (here in Portland, we have two, both equally inconvenient for me, but that's the price of driving such a unique car. Get over it. pg Scott C <scottnopsamtcovey.com> wrote in message news:382cdbe0$0$228nopsam1.ba.best.com... > I live in the San Jose area of California.
