I live in the San Jose area of California. There is only one Saab dealer in this area, B&B Saab I think it's called. I went in to drive the Aero and they wanted to make a copy of my drivers license. I told them I do not allow this, but was happy to show them my license. They told me I could not drive the car w/o making a copy of my license. I calmly left w/o driving the car. Here are my concerns... only 1 dealer in the bay area. BMW has 3 I think - as do most others.. San Jose, Fremont, Hayward, Hillsdale, ... Saab only 1. This dealer is about 40 minutes from my home and it's the closest one. Given all the competition out there (and please don't tell me the Aero is "one of a kind" and better than all others) the turning away of potential buyers does not make sense to me. After leaving, I was thinking, I really don't want to travel all that way anyway to get service... it's a pain. They are not alone, Volvo is the same, but here there was no copying of my license, just get in and drive... and very nice folks. But Volvo is even a little farther than the Saab dealer. Anyone know what's with copying the drivers license? I think there is to much info there to just give out to drive a car. I have no issue showing it to the manager / salesman, but letting them make a copy to keep... not for me. Scott
