Yeah - it's the dome light switch, but there should be another light just to the left of the driver's head.  I'd bet both bulbs didn't blow together, I suspect something else is wrong, maybe the switch itself. The only thing that can eject a passenger in a Saab is a faulty seat heater thermostat.  I hear they can actually catch fire. One other tip, is if you ever pour a beverage down the key switch... just pour denatured alcohol down after it. (a dealer told me this) It works great.... I do wonder where it all goes though. -Dan Jeff Goodin wrote in message ... >dk <fronopsamrlog.com> writes: > >> Having just acquired my 1986 Saab 900.  I was wondering what the little >> switch was on the centre console floor, just behind the shifter.  I push >> it, but no lights come on, and nothing blows up.  Hell...the seat doesn't >> even eject my annoying passenger.  What's it for? > >In my 83 900S, there was a light mounted behind the rear view mirror.  That >switch operated it. > >If you have a light mounted there and it is not coming on, check the bulb. > > >-- >Jeff.
