Greetings All, The following has stumped me for a while and I hope that someone may have some experience with. I have trouble getting into reverse ONLY when the car is "hot" in my 83-900T. I can shift into the foward gears without any problems. By "hot" I mean that the radiator fans have cycled several times, the result of stop-and-go traffic. However, when the car is cooler it shifts fine in all of the forward and reverse gears. What I've tried (unsuccessfully) when the car is "hot": -------------------------------------- Depressing the clutch as far as physically possible. Depressing the clutch twice. Shifting into a forward gear before attempting reverse. Thinking profanities :) Revevant infomation ------------------- Transmission Oil: Mobil-1 changed in 10/98 Mileage: 125000 miles Parts Replaced: Clutch disk, pressure plate, slave cylinger throwout bearing and pilot bearing at 94,000 miles(1995) Flushed Brakes + clutch system and bled the system, (117,000 miles, 11/98) The symptoms appeared when the weather became much cooler. My Current Hypothesis ------------------- Currently, I'm thinking that I may have an air bubble or another contaminant in either the clutch or brake circuit which is expanding when the clutch slave cylinder gets hot. Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Todd Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
