I have a 94 9000 CS and am having similar stuff. I found it was in my vacuum hoses. I replaced all of them and used clamps on the ends. Seems to be fixed. I put a wet and dry vac using blow side on the air inlet and looked for leaks using slight pressure. I would also check all connections twice. Fuel filter is a good idea as well and should be checked. Good luck. \
