The clutch on the classic 900 is a relatively easy job -- one that a shadetree mechanic can do in an afternoon. If that's the only problem with the car, you'll have a nice car for $1200-1400 (depending on whether you or a shop does the clutch). The 900 8-valve engine may not be the quickest one around, but it's very solid.
