I would highly recommend against mixing tire sizes. Even RWD cars that have mixed tire sizes usually have a Plus Zero or Plus One size which is generally wider but nearly equal in diameter. You could be in for some rather bizarre handling characteristics. If you're looking for a cheap but decent tire in a 205/50-16, I would recommend either the Dunlop SP Sport W-10 or Yokohama A520. The Dunlops are cheaper and will last longer, while the Yokohamas are a bit sportier. You should be able to find either tire for easily less than $100/each. Tire Rack has the Dunlops for $83. I would be careful if going with a 205/55-16 as the slightly larger diameter may result in rubbing--this was definitely a problem with '91 and '92 9000s (which had optional 205/50-16s) , but I am less familiar with the NG900 so it may be fine. Also keep in mind that the speedo will read a few percent slower with the larger tires. -Doug
