Subject: Odd power lock failure in '94 900S

In just the past week I've started seeing an odd intermittent failure in the power door locks. ->Occasionally<- when I lock the car from the driver's door, the car will immediately unlock itself. It appears that the lock plunger in the front passenger door isn't going down so the system refuses to lock up. If I push the plunger down by hand, the locks work OK. They also work normally ->most<- of the time. It appears that the lock mechanism in the passenger door is just stiff, even after (or maybe because of) 6 years use. Is this diagnosis correct, or is something else (solenoid, sensor, etc) failing? -- -- Bert Hyman | St. Paul, MN | bertnopsam.com
