Subject: Help: Saab Aero/Viggens -vs- BMW 328/Audi S4

I am having a difficult time making up my mind on which Car to buy, and have narrowed it down to one of the four listed above. I am an American living in Germany, so I am buying American Specs. I am listing the cost of each vehicle here. It will probably be much different than the stateside price. I would appreciate any and every opinion on what is considered the best deal based on; PRICE - PERFORMANCE RELIABILITY - FUN FACTOR - RESALE VALUE -APPEARANCE - HANDLING - QUALITY . Bottom line, what is better and why. The reason I am in the Saab Group asking this question, is because Audi and BMW have a ton of related information on the Web and are somewhat easier to research. There is little data on the Saab's, especially the Aero. Audi S4 BMW 328i Saab Aero Saab Viggen $37,000 $33,000 $33,500 $31,000 4 wh drive rear drive fr drive fr drive 250 hp 190 hp 230 hp 230 hp 17 mpg 21 mpg 20 mpg 20 mpg 6 speed 5 speed 5 speed 5 speed compact compact midsized midsized sm trunk sm trunk med trunk lg trunk Quality seems to favor the BMW. Saab ??? Performance in steering, power and traction seem to favor the Audi . Load carrying ability favors the Saabs. I think the BMW has the best styling, although they all look very nice in terms of sporting. I wonder which auto would hold the highest value over a four year period, based on the above purchase price. I believe the Audi would lose the most value due to its current price, followed by the Viggens and then the Aero. The Audi has terrible Mileage hands down. What are the performance figures for the Aero and Viggen in relation to the BMW and Audi. 0-60, top speed, cornering ability, quarter mile. In what order is the interior rating for each vehicle. I have read that the Audi dominates, and that the Saab is very impressive, but I have seen the shift console on a Viggen, and it seems a bit low and generic. I believe the Aero shifter is positioned a little better. Which has the best manual transmission? I assume the BMW. In terms of Sporting ability, which is better, the Aero or Viggen. I read that the Aero is based on an Opel frame, and that the Viggen is pushing the envelope on its current frame due to the current horsepower rating.
