That's exactly what happened, at the local service station, when I had the first oil change on my newly acquired 1967 Saab 95. I had the owner's manual, and was looking at the bottom while the young kid drained---. When he put in down, I asked him to pull the dipstick. He looked at me, and said "I just drained all the oil". Asked him to humor me, and pull it. Wonderful look on his face!. Of course, the only thing they had in the shop was 80W-90--no 75. Took me a while to find the right stuff and get it redone, but that's when I decided I could change my own and not do worse. dick in Falls Church VA
