Help needed! My 1985 Saab 900i starts okay in the garage each morning. But when I attempt to drive up the slight incline of the road outside my house it starts to splutter. Flooring the throttle to around 3500 rev pm usually gets it up the hill and then it settles down. However, there appears to be also some kind of electrical problem associated with this fuel starvation. If the car cuts out it will not restart. I appear to be getting a current at the fuse but not at the fuel pump itself. The relay switch for the fuel pump was replaced but this doesn't appear to have solved the problem. The fuel pump was replaced a few years ago and has done only around 50k miles since then. Can anyone shed light on this?
