Subject: Classic 900 - Hard Ride

Having driven a 1990 900s saloon for some 6 years and around 120,000 miles I then purchased a convertible of the same age but with less than half the mileage. I am baffled as to the reasons for the difference in the ride characteristics between the saloon and the soft-top. Whereas the saloon was a joy to drive, the soft-top feels as if the wheels are bolted directly onto the chassis with even the slightest road unevenness causing the car to dance around. Anybody else feel that the ride is hard on this type of car?
