i may de wrong but i think the link adjustment is under the hood between the firewall and the tranny case on the right hand side. there should be a lik that has a clamp that can be loosened with the car in neutral and the shifter placed in neutral then retighten the strap. have your child sit in the car and shift while you look under the hood for the part thats moving follow it until you find the adjustment should be a 30 min job.
