I assume that you have a LH-jettronic. Yes, the computer should "customize" itself. The idle itself is "non-setable". I would check some other things before doing anything involved with the computer. Things to check: Does the throttle close properly, airleaks (my first quess, spray some water to the air intake seal - any change in idle), the temp sensor (under the air intake) (my seocond quess - (canīt remember exactly) Ohms around 3000-5000 when hot, less when could (100)) and the AIC (automatic idle control). Are the exhaust mixtures correct or are the HCīs and Oīs high? Is the lambda sensor giving the correct pulse? Why was the throttle cleaned in the first place - any background to the problem? Roy ps. If the fuel mixture is lean, donīt give her full throttle.
