you may also try to reset the ACC unit itself. With the car running, press the Auto and Vent (top left and far lower right) for a few seconds until it enters a reset phase where the internal computer will return to defaults. this takes a few minutes (keep the car running) and may clear things up. Otherwise I suggest it may be a plastic arm attaching the vent that has snapped. Roger
