Hi Having a look round the engine bay today before doing a plug and filter change , and i noticed that there is a small pipe coming from the top of the centre of the air filter box. The car is a 1988 SAAB 9000i Auto 16v The air filter is of the square type. Does anyone know if there should be a pipe coming of this ilter box into another pipe or somewhere else. I cant see anything and my local SAAB dealer doesnt reopen until monday to allow me to talk to them. This is the first plug and filter change that I have donr since having the engine replaced and I am worried that the engine is sucking in a load of rubbish from the air.
