Brian, I assume you are talking about the oil-symbol in the middle of the pictogram...? The "Check engine oil" text message below the speedometer does not respond to oil pressure, but rather the oil *level*. It's very common for the oil-level sensor to fail and give a false indication of a problem. If it really is the oil-pressure light, to be on the safe side, I'd buy a cheap oil-pressure gauge kit, perform a temporary installation, and drive the car a bit. Or if you're not mechanically inclined, have a mechanic do the same. If the oil pressure checks out OK, start looking for a bad sending unit or a wiring problem. It's relatively rare to truly have a problem with oil pressure (assuming there's enough oil in the motor!), but it's good to check because the consequences can be rather severe...
