If you car temperature is rising when you are not moving it could be your thermostat or fan switch. On my 1987 SAAB 9000T it would stay cool on the highway but when I got in the city it would get hot at every red light. What I did was replaced the thermostat first and it still was running hot. Then my mechanic told me how I could have told the difference. When your car run hot. Get to the side of the road and turn the engine off. Get out of your car and walk to the front of it. At this time your radiator fan should be running. If it is, replace the thermostat. That means your thermostat is stuck and it is not allowing the radiator fluid to flow to the radiator. If the fan is not running replace the fan switch which is located on the right side of the radiator. That means that at the stop light the hot radiator fluid is not getting cool properly before reentering into the engine. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
