I replaced the heater valve on my 89 900 8i auto to save cash. you need patience, full set of torx bits and a flexible back! Took me 3 hours or so, following instructions off www.townsendimports.com i didn't want to try doing it through the speaker grill ! next time it 'll be a breeze now I know the procedure. while i was down there i replaced the brake light switch with an upgrade.
