Subject: Re: Child seat questions - tether strap?

I don't believe that the 96 900SEt has child-seat anchors... certainly I can't see any on mine. Doesn't really matter that much... what I did was remove one of the headrests and have a friend of mine shape a metal bar of the same thickness into a square loop... then stuck it in the headrest holes and tethered the child seat to that. I yanked on it pretty damned hard (and I'm not a lightweight), and it stayed in place perfectly. As for suggestions for car seats... I actually can't for the life of me remember the make or model of the one I have... I went to Consumer Reports and found the best bang for the buck carseat out there and bought it. Now I've got to go find an infant seat in a month or so... another one on the way :) -- Gavin Haslett thumper_svxnopsamo.com "The early bird gets the worm... But the second mouse gets the cheese!"
