Subject: Your favorite snake oil?

Ok, since there's been relativly little response to my "parting out" post a few days ago, and since my mechanic tells me that the bad cylinder is leaking from a valve, I've decided that it's worth trying the long shot that the valve is sticking and that some chemical additive will unstick it. [For those who missed my previous post, here's a summary: '85 900T 16v with complete loss of compression in cylinder #2 (failed leak down test: 95% leakage). The car has just over 300,000 miles.] So... which one should I use? There are two products at the auto parts store that claim unstick valves: one is CD-2 brand and the other is Risone (I think that's the correct spelling). Anyone ever used either of these? Is there another product I should look for? I've been told that Marvel Mystery Oil might work too: anyone have anything to say about that one? I know this is something of a silly question, since I don't have much to loose, but I'm worried about some product damagine the turbo (and then I'd be, more or less, right back where I started). TIA for any help. Tom R. treednopsamor.csustan.edu "Long life to this tree, and may it prosper from this auspicious day. It's name shall be Albert." --Alice Liddell (March 10, 1863)
