Subject: Re: FWD or RWD?

There are good FWD snow cars There are good RWD snow cars There are bad FWD cars in snow There are bad RWD cars in snow My favorite FWD snow car: Saab 99 manual trans and no power steering (never had to chain up) My worst experience FWD snow car: 89' Honda/Acura Integra - extreme torque steer Great RWD's in snow: the classic VW bug, 245 Volvo wagon, M.Benz S class long wheel base, Chevy Suburban. For going skiing I'd choose a Saab 99 over a Jeep Cherokee any day. Except if the "chain required except four wheel drive" rule applies. Then a 4x4 Suburban would look good.
