On Wed, 23 Feb 2000 18:13:41 +0100, just as I was about to see how much duct tape you REALLY need to stop a gerbil from exploding, Robert Brown <rjbnopsamnetNOSPAM.se> distracted me by babbling thusly: > One thing is on the classic >900, a clutch change is said to be much easier than on almost any other >car - so it should be doable in under 4 hours, working very slowly with >coffee breaks, as I do. I'll second that. Changing the clutch on this car is truly trivial (hell, you don't even need to jack up the car; just open the bonnet and rip away) *BUT*...... I cannot stress the importance of that spacer ring enough. I was fortunate enough to be able to borrow a spacer ring from my (very) friendly SAAB wrecker and drew up the dimensions of it... one day I'll get round to posting a proper ACAD drawing of it. -- Our OS who art in CPU, UNIX be thy name.
